Liberty Knight

Liberty Show Entry #1

Still trying to make herself known and gain experience, Monica decided to enter Nocturne in an upcoming liberty show. Liberty shows can be pretty scary with a big audience shouting and cheering while the horse has no rider to guide them, so Monica decided to use her most "bomb proof" pegasus. She led the shining gelding out into the arena with hundreds of people surrounding them. Nocturne flared his nostrils and stared out at the crowd but his initial shock soon subsided and he continued to walk with Monica out to the judges circle. Monica took his halter off and let him loose. At first Nocturne just stared at her, unsure what he was supposed to do, so Monica took a quick step toward him and flicked her wrist. The gelding recognized the lunging command, turned swiftly around, and took off around the arena. The audience exploded as he galloped faster. He began to enjoy the freedom of the arena and started showing off with some extended trots and quick turns. He needed little encouragement from Monica to continue his round. The judges seemed pleased with the confident pegasus and soon his turn came to an end. Nocturne was enjoying himself and didn't want to stop but he submitted and returned to his human. Monica was very pleased with Nocturne's first Liberty show, and waited to see how well the judges thought he did.


Eeeeep! I'm so thrilled with how Nocturne came out! Still trying to improve on my photoshop skills. It's getting better but, as always, I still REALLY need to keep working on those darn backgrounds (backgrounds have never really been my thing).
