Background: Monica became involved in pegasus polo when she was very young. Her parents are fairly well known, high society wizards and would often take their daughter to the polo matches to watch their friends compete. Monica was quickly drawn to the sport, thinking it looked challenging and exciting, plus she loved the pegasi. While her parents enjoyed watching the games, they were never much interested in riding themselves. However, when their daughter mentioned that she would like to be trained in the sport they were happy to let her do so. She began her training when she was eight and continued her training on weekends while attending Ilvermorny as there was a training facility near the school.
